Quentin Szery's vast working experience as a stockman, horsebreaker, campdrafter, cattleman and working dog trainer is now being passed on to interested students to create a force of knowledgeable and enthusiastic workers, able to follow instructions and establish themselves in the rural industry.

They came from near and far to attend Quentin's recent Clinic held in the Northern Territory where they were able to learn horsemanship of the highest order. They covered basic horse care, maintenance and handling, how to approach and catch a horse correctly, hoof trimming, shoeing and clipping.

The use of products for horses was another area covered as there are many things out in the marketplace they could use for the benefit of their working horses. The clinic then covered all aspects of horsemanship including cattle handling, using horses in teamwork and an introduction to campdrafting.

The educational clinic has proved to be a huge success with participants going back to their respective jobs with greater knowledge of horsemanship and superior team spirit.

Public demand and further interest in horsemanship clinics has ensured Quentin will continue the clinics in Queensland and the Northern Territory in the future.

Quentin and his partner Lyn have moved from their 700 acres of country in Widgee, south-east Queensland, where they established Oaklands as a premier ASH breeding and training facility, to Maidenwell, where they now continue to expand the operation.

For people interested in learning the art of horsemanship - from inexperienced riders to those born in the saddle - call Quentin now.
